WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead the design and development of scalable and reliable backend systems that power critical features in Clover’s Web Dashboard, including authentication, notifications, and partner integrations.
• Build and ship high-impact features that support global merchant onboarding, helping businesses around the world run more efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to translate business goals into functional, maintainable software solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and elevate the technical bar for the entire team through thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance.
• Own incident response for key services, troubleshoot complex issues quickly, and implement long-term solutions to minimize future impact.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring our backend systems remain fast, secure, and cost-effective at scale.
• Proactively address technical debt, continuously improving the health, clarity, and maintainability of our codebase.
• Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies to keep Clover’s backend infrastructure competitive and future-ready.
