We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer with an exceptional command of backend tech to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in accordance with project requirements and coding standards. Take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive them to resolution, leveraging advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and constructive feedback to support their growth and development. Take ownership of several software components, ensuring their robustness, availability, and scalability. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and reliable software systems. Plan and execute projects, ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of software products. Lead by example in adhering to best practices for software development, including version control, testing, documentation, and deployment processes. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments, working collaboratively with operations and support teams to ensure timely resolution. Contribute to the recruitment and hiring process by participating in interviews, evaluation candidates, and providing input on hiring decisions. Star current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in software engineering, sharing knowledge and insights with the broader team. Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings to contribute to the overall success of the team and projects. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in software development, with substantial experience in backend and cloud infrastructure. Expert-level proficiency in designing and developing high-performance, concurrent applications with Golang. Knowledge on other languages like Java, Python, or Ruby will be an added advantage. Having prior experience in FinTech domains would be an added advantage. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud native computing.. Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including unit testing and integration testing for backend applications. Demonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively with teams, and mentor junior engineers. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
