ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team providing high-quality mental health care in a diverse and vibrant community. The Older People’s Mental Health Service based at Liverpool Hospital, within South Western Sydney Local Health District, presents a rewarding opportunity for a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist to join its experienced and collaborative team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on providing comprehensive, recovery-oriented mental health care to older adults experiencing complex psychiatric conditions, often in the context of medical comorbidities and age-related challenges. Working in a well-established service that values multidisciplinary collaboration, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and wellbeing of older people in the region. This position is ideal for a psychiatrist with a special interest in geriatric mental health who is seeking a flexible and professionally fulfilling role in a supportive clinical environment. Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the Chief Executive (CE) on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
