SYDNEY LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT (SLHD) IS SEEKING A STAFF SPECIALIST TO JOIN OUR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TEAM!

We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Psychiatry of Old Age, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the SLHD Mental Health Services as required.
The Staff Specialist will contribute to a holistic and seamless model of care in Psychiatry of Old Age within Sydney LHD across Inpatient, General Hospital Consultation/Liaison and Community- based Older Persons’ Mental Health Services, and to the Electroconvulsive Therapy Service.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist (FRANZCP) or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award, and additional experience and qualification in Psychiatry of Old Age.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
