Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking experienced Staff Specialists in Psychiatry to join our Mental Health Services!
We are looking for a Staff Specialists in Psychiatry. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the SLHD Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist in Psychiatry (Youth Early Intervention Services) will work as the consultant psychiatrist within a Community Mental Health team based at Camperdown, providing direct care and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary mental health team to young persons experiencing persistent and significant mental health problems.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
