ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, part of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based medical services while contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff. You will be instrumental in shaping clinical practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the hospital’s commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological services, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and general gynaecology care.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff, midwives, and nursing teams.
  • Participate in teaching, training, audit, and clinical governance activities.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.
