Description
Perform systems engineering activities including, but not limited to: requirements analysis, scheduling, documentation and traceability matrix development, preliminary design, critical design, detailed design, test and evaluation, system verification and validation, research and development, implementation and fielding, and sustainment and operations throughout the entire life cycle of the system Scope and execute trade studies, analysis, and detailed requirements definition, preliminary and detailed system architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services Develop junior and mid-level engineering personnel to leverage an Agile delivery practice, to include capturing and decomposing work around Epics, Stories, and Tasks Maintain alignment to support Team Leads: infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding, tests, and operations Coordinate with engineering leaders to support the application of Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement of non-manufacturing engineering processes Communicate complex technical information to people of various backgrounds and disciplines Provide status and briefings to leadership, to include senior government customers and stakeholders Use interpersonal skills to solve both technical and organizational conflicts Perform other assigned duties as required to meet international requirements Other duties as assigned Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required Master’s Degree preferred Experience: 12+ years of general work experience 9+ years of professional experience in the required task area 3+ years of experience working in a management or leadership role Demonstrative understanding of agile team management concepts, practices, and methods Training/education in agile delivery concepts Expertise in systems engineering processes, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools, and engineering documentation management Working knowledge of the following technical/management skills: information technology infrastructure, networking, Linux and Windows systems, virtualization, data storage management, system life cycle and change management Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) application, Agile workflow management applications (Microsoft Planner, Jira, Asana, Trello) Preferred Experience: Experience leading teams to support Missile Defense Agency Continuous Test and Training Operations (CTTO) Documented experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products for major space and IT systems Demonstrable skills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition, as well as knowledge of cyber security concepts and security accreditation Familiarity with the C2BMC system and other Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems Experience mentoring junior employees to identify value and continuous improvement performance Security: Must be a US citizen Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.) Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources Salary: $123,000 - 148,000 Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
