BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrated ability as a TPM or Engineering Manager in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment
• Proven strong cross-team and cross-org stakeholder management.
• Analytical and truth-seeking. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively.
• Metrics-driven: Experience in resolving effective program critical metrics and using them to measure program success and issues.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience in the Regulatory and compliance space or similar.
• Excellent in identifying process gaps, measuring progress, and balancing engineering and product efficiency.
• Strong software development and distributed systems experience.
• Worked at a high-paced, fast-growing, creative tech startup.
• Developer experience, including writing, testing and deploying code.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Regulatory Technical Program Manager (TPM) to partner with policy, legal, and compliance teams in evaluating potential policy changes worldwide. You’ll translate these changes into clear technical implications, assess their impact on Uber’s platforms, and drive execution with engineering teams to ensure compliance with the timelines set by new regulations.
As a TPM at Uber, you’ll lead high-impact, org-wide initiatives that shape how our engineering organizations operate at scale. On the Mobility and Platforms TPM team, you’ll own critical programs that touch hundreds of millions of riders and drivers every day.
