YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience in technical complex systems, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment
  • Experience with UI/UX, design systems, and/or creative design, showcasing expertise in creating user-centered interfaces
  • Proven ability to lead strategic, cross-functional programs and customer-facing product initiatives across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment and high-quality delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in defining, documenting, and optimizing processes to improve operational efficiency, along with managing successful partnerships with third-party vendors and internal teams
  • Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of management and translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies; fluency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet or similar platforms.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $143,000 to $258,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will lead the operational planning and execution of large-scale, cross-functional software and systems initiatives that bring to life a new vehicle interface system purpose built by GM for our customers. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and business operations to ensure hardware and software deliverables are aligned to vehicle launch milestones and organizational goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the execution of complex, cross-functional Infotainment and connectivity programs.
  • Drive alignment between engineering, product, and operations to define program scope, resource needs, and timelines.
  • Track progress against milestones, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordination between HW and SW teams for overall execution plan.
  • Coordinate the VCU/Infotainment SW development plan across all vehicles for VCU releases.
  • Work with Vehicle PMO on SW usage plans – mapping SW delivery to vehicle milestones.
  • Manage the complexities amongst features and vehicle needs.
  • Coordinate across hardware and software engineering, product management, and supply chain to support vehicle launch deliverables.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and decision-making forums, driving alignment on critical tradeoffs and execution paths.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership, providing insights into program status, resourcing, and schedule dependencies.
