Description
As a Staff Water Engineer you will evaluate, plan, design and support management of projects for water / wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Part of your responsibility will be to exercise judgment on details of work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. You will need to complete technical reports with guidance from more senior team members. There will be occasional fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring set-up and monitoring, technology evaluations, and plant operations information, process troubleshooting and optimization. This will require support of professional engineering services during construction: construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts. With guidance from senior level engineers you will also be responsible for managing tasks as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations. Your knowledge will be used to contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members as well as collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution. Detail oriented with knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice, Ability to provide technical guidance. Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills, Developing skills including technical, project management, relationship management, sector expertise and commercial awareness, Work independently. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering Valid driver's license with the ability to commute to project sites. Minimum 4 years' of experience in engineering AND EIT Certification New York PE License
