STAFFING COORDINATOR

Full-time / Philadelphia PA
Reports ToThis position reports directly to Feast Your Eyes’ Chief of Staff and interfaces regularly with the CEO, Executive Chef, members of the senior sales, and Events teams.Role Overview
The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all staffing operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences and efficient business operations. This position requires a strong commitment to living and promoting Feast’s values and standards, and the individual will be expected to model these in all interactions with clients, guests, and team members. This full-time position will work in-person out of Feast’s Fishtown headquarters as well as on-site at off-premise catering events.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years of solid off-premise catering sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required; experience in lieu of degree.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work in varying elements—indoors and outdoors, uneven walking surfaces/terrain, locations with stairs.
  • Able to lift, carry and move materials weighing 35 pounds or more at times.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various Event Staff positions.
  • Partner with senior management to ensure staffing strategies support overall business objectives.
  • Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and training of all Event Staff.
  • Extend job offers, initiate background checks, schedule new hire orientation attendance and communicate details.
  • Ensure all screening and hiring complies with state, local, and company-specific guidelines.
  • Create and manage Event Staff schedules to make sure that the required number of appropriately skilled staff attend each event.
  • Design and deliver training programs to ensure staff are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor attendance and address any staffing issues promptly.
  • Ensure Event Staff adheres to Feast policy and procedures and consistently document disciplinary actions taken.
  • Practice appropriate methods of documentation while coaching or taking corrective action with employees.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of staff requests to ensure Event Staff have the necessary information to arrive at the correct location at the correct time with the correct resources.
  • Respond to last minute and emergency changes to the Event Staff schedule due to the rapidly changing needs of clients and availability of staff.
  • Partner with 3rd party staffing vendors to supplement Feast staff as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Event Staff and staff vendors which includes availability and an expectation of response during off-hours, nights, and weekends.
  • Manage uniforms for team, including ordering, shipping to employees and payroll deductions.
  • Supervise and/or assist on average two events per week to oversee and direct staff and to ensure that event execution and staffing meets client and management expectations.
  • Attend events with a focus of continuing education both in a supervisor, server, and bartender capacity.
  • Manage implementation, training, and maintenance of third-party catering software.
  • Write and refresh Feast’s Event Staff Playbook on a regular basis to maintain standards.
  • Build individual event “party packs” to ensure all event-related materials are available to the team.
