Ideally, the staffing coordinator will work in partnership with the Chief Nursing Office and Director of Culture and Engagement for maintaining the nursing department's schedule. You will be the main point of contact for all nurses and CNA's for the scheduling of shifts and vacations, as well as covering gaps in coverage when they arise. In addition, there may be times where direct patient care is needed so a valid certified nursing assistant or certified medication assistant license is required.
