Job Details Job Location: JohnsByrne Oakton - Niles, IL 60714 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 Hourly Job Category: Admin - Clerical The Staffing Coordinator supports full-cycle recruiting efforts across production and office functions. For production positions, the Staffing Coordinator manages relationships with multiple temporary staffing agencies to ensure workforce demands are met with quality and efficiency. This role serves as the primary point of contact for internal hiring managers and agency partners, oversees headcount fulfillment, and ensures compliance with company standards. Additionally, the position includes HR administrative tasks, reporting responsibilities, and supporting onboarding processes for manufacturing staff. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory. Key Responsibilities Recruiting and Onboarding Create position and add headcount to active positions in HRIS based on approved requisitions. Recruit and screen candidates for direct-hire positions for office and manufacturing positions. Coordinate interviews, background checks, and pre-employment processes. Facilitate onboarding for both temporary and direct employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce. HR Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems. Complete I-9 and E-Verify employment authorization review. Prepare staffing and turnover reports for leadership review. Supports compliance with labor laws and company policies. Assist with payroll coordination for temporary staff as needed. Agency Management & Workforce Planning Coordinate staffing requests for production and office roles to support business needs. Act as the primary liaison with multiple temporary staffing agencies to communicate workforce needs and ensure timely fulfillment. Monitor agency performance, quality of candidates, and adherence to contractual agreements. Track and report Daily and weekly headcount metrics to meet production goals. Resolve issues related to attendance, performance, and compliance for temporary workers. Communication and Relationship Building Serve as the central point of contact for internal hiring managers and staffing agencies. Provide bilingual support (English/Spanish) for employees and agency representatives. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred. 1+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting coordination, HR administration, or a related role. Experience supporting staffing efforts in a manufacturing or production environment. Effective communication skills with employees, candidates, hiring managers, and leadership. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required (intermediate level to read, speak, and write). Proficient in HR systems, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Preferred Experience supporting hourly manufacturing and/or salaried office recruiting preferred. Familiarity with employment compliance requirements (EEO, I-9, background checks). Prior experience supporting high volume hiring or multiple requisitions simultaneously. Essential Requirements Regularly required to stand, sit, and, walk around the facility. Ability to regularly use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment to perform essential job functions, including data entry and electronic communication. Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and video conferencing platforms. Work Environment Work performed in an office environment where a noise level is moderate. Occasionally access manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be used.
