SUMMARY:

The On-Site Staffing Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Team Leads and Supervisors on the floor. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, managing direct reports, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and payroll functions. The manager must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needs. This shift is Monday-Friday, 5am-2pm. A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail is a must for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Operations Management, Business Management or equivalent field is preferred
· Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience with employee relations and performance management/performance reviews
· Experience completing and monitoring payroll in a timekeeping system
· HR-related experience in manufacturing is preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
· Ability to work with high level of confidentiality
· Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, behavioral based)
· Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference checks)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Ability to properly manage time during the workday to complete all necessary tasks

Responsibilities

· Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges, attract candidates by using databases and social media, etc.
· Prepare payroll spreadsheets
· Must maintain and track all client specific reporting requirements
· Assists in handling employee issues such as paycheck corrections, hours worked corrections, and other employee payroll concerns
· Execute basic Human Resource functions such as releasing associates, write up associates when necessary, manage and track all employee disciplinary action, coach, and re-train associates for success
· Distributes and monitors performance reviews at 30-60-90 days, and every six months thereafter
· Handles employee relations counseling, and conduct exit interviews
· Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility verifications; periodically audits Forms I-9
· Maintain accurate records related to employee personnel files and documentation
· Screen candidates resumes and job applications, and conduct interviews using various tools and methods
· Works directly with the HR Manager on communicating benefits information to eligible employees
· Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems
· Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible wage adjustments/increases
· Onboard new employees
