• $20.00–$22.00 per hour (Pay is dependent on the event or site. Holding a valid Smart Serve certification may increase your wage at licensed events where alcohol is served.)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license (Required)
• Minimum 18 years of age (Required)
• Valid Smart Serve certification (Required)
• Valid First Aid and CPR-C Certification (Required)
• Experience in customer service settings (Required)
• The physical ability to assist persons out of the crowd and over stage barricades during medical emergencies and/or security incidents. Often with the help of other stage guards. (Required)
• Minimum 3 years of special event security experience (exceptions may be made with relevant education or experience).
• Use of Force Certification (Preferred but not required)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use hoses with mist settings to cool large crowds down on hot days when directed,
• Conduct “pop-ups” on the stage barricade intermittently to monitor for safety concerns and security incidents,
• Assist and direct police, ejection teams, and medical staff to emergencies,
• Assist other stage guards with safety and security incidents,
• Control movement through the stage barricade and assist with pyrotechnic deployment safety measures,
• Conduct access control in a high-risk backstage environment,
• Provide security to artist compounds,
• Remove troublesome individuals from the crowd and facilitate an ejection,
• Remove medical patients from the crowd to facilitate their treatment and extraction,
• Hand out water to patrons in need,
• Promote safety and crowd enjoyment,
• Investigate security incidents in the crowd,
• Represent TOERSA Security with professionalism and initiative.
