A BRIEF SUMMARY

EMG Connectivity are looking for a Trainee Warehouse Technician to join our Dartford-based team, supporting the preparation, management, and maintenance of equipment for use across some of the world’s biggest television broadcast events.
This role sits within a team responsible for the logistical and technical coordination of equipment used in live TV production. The successful applicant will also work closely with the Projects department, supporting larger, more complex jobs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Highly motivated with a willingness to learn
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings/weekends
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Team player with a positive attitude

OTHER BENEFICIAL SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or broadcast support
  • PAT testing experience
  • Ability with basic hand tools and light repairs
  • Interest in project-based workflows and planning
  • Ability to maintain documentation and inventory records

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

This position offers hands-on experience in equipment management for live television broadcast. Working from our Dartford base, the role focuses on the preparation and return of equipment, stock control, basic testing and repairs, and assisting with warehouse organisation.
Trainees will also support the Projects Equipment Manager on long-term, high-profile assignments, with opportunities to gain deeper insight into the broadcast industry, learn technical workflows, and grow within the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and organise itemised equipment lists for live events
  • Check in and inspect equipment returning from events
  • Deliver and collect equipment to and from suppliers or event locations
  • Assist with testing of cables and devices, including PAT testing
  • Help with basic maintenance and repairs
  • Source equipment and parts from suppliers
  • Support stock control through checks and inventory management
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and workflowSupport equipment prep for larger project-based events
