Description

We are looking for a Stainless Welder for work at our shop in Didsbury. 3-4 weeks, Locals only, No LOA or Travel will be provided.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience in a construction or manufacturing environment, where attention to detail and safety are paramount.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in welding with knowledge of MIG, TIG, FCAW, stick welding, and fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with construction site environments and manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to welding projects.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools including plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, and basic hand tools.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
  • Experience with soldering techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in welds and assemblies.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling during the fabrication process.
  • Engage in rigging practices as needed for lifting heavy components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards and ASME codes & standards.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and support machining processes as required.
  • Execute ductwork installation and pipe threading tasks as part of larger projects.
