The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub team have an exciting new opportunity for a Stakeholder Communications Manager to deliver effective PR and Communications to raise the profile and positioning of the Growth Company (GC) and GM Business Growth Hub (GM BGH), as a leading deliverer of business support, and our role in supporting Greater Manchester’s economic growth ambitions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting and storytelling abilities.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder communications, media relations, and campaign delivery across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging messages tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across public and private sectors.
  • Proficiency in digital tools including social media platforms, email marketing systems, and content management systems.
  • Experience in evaluating communications performance and using insights to refine strategy.
  • Knowledge of economic development, policy, and the political landscape in Greater Manchester is highly desirable.
  • Graduate calibre or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a stakeholder communications plan in collaboration with the Communications Business Partner to support strategic objectives.
  • Deliver targeted, impactful communications across multiple platforms to engage a wide range of audiences, with a focus on Greater Manchester stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate messaging and ensure alignment across the Group’s services and campaigns.
  • Proactively identify and communicate key messages and success stories that highlight the organisation’s impact and value to external stakeholders.
  • Manage media relations, including press engagement and crisis communications, to support the stakeholder communications strategy.
  • Lead digital communications including social media, newsletters, and website content to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder communications and report on outcomes to inform future strategy.
  • Support high-profile stakeholder events and contribute to wider event planning and delivery across the organisation.
