Description

Job Introduction
We’re looking for a Stakeholder Coordination Manager to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our Stakeholder Coordination Manager, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a job share. Our people are at the heart of what we do and we’ll do our best to agree a working pattern that works for everyone.
Whilst this is a temporary position until 31/03/2026, there is potential for it to develop into a permanent position.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You work better together with an ability to build, maintain and influence working relationships with a network of stakeholders, including some at senior level. Your experience will preferably be within a public sector, government or parliamentary environment.
  • An expert by nature, you possess rapid and high-quality written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to tailor communication strategies to suit varied audiences.
  • You have excellent analytical skills which you use to understand issues quickly, simplify complexity and provide insight and recommendations.
  • You keep evolving with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing and competing priorities. You will need the ability to re-prioritise at short notice.
  • You’re self-motivated and organised with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Supporting parliamentary business by researching and drafting answers to correspondence.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive overview of the external landscape to ensure Met Office awareness of government, parliament and stakeholder developments.
  • Building and maintaining insights (e.g. through briefings, summaries and analysis) to support effective stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Using corporate tools (e.g. customer relationship management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365) to track and monitor engagement at all levels of the organisation.
  • Supporting key stakeholder visits and events, including strategic corporate events.
  • Providing flexible support on urgent activities, corporate priorities or particular topics of in-year focus.
