Our Customer Remediation team is looking for a Standards & Governance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the safe, compliant, and effective application and execution of BNZs processes. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Head of Customer Remediation – and she let us know the following about the role. What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Lead and operationalise foundational governance standards Provide support, advice and guidance to remediation colleagues on standards, outcomes and adherence to the framework and guidelines Review and challenge Post Implementation Review (PIRs) and remediation execution activities Work alongside Line 2 to raise any identified risks, gaps and opportunities for process improvement. Provide operational insights to leadership for informed decision making. What is the team culture & environment like? We’re a highly collaborative team that are quick to support each other to create high output but also nurture an environment where we can challenge each other’s thinking to make sure that we explore all perspectives to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and colleagues. What is your management style? I’m very approachable and I like to set a clear direction. Given the fast paced nature of our environment, I also rely on the team to be curious, proactive and provide wrap around support when needed. I encourage high levels of collaboration and for each person to take accountability for their work, themselves and customer outcomes. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? This is a newly created role where a motivated and detailed orientated individual will bring their experience and skills to make it their own and see the results play out through every remediation case. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? Success in this role will be evident in the operational excellence across every remediation case. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? 5+ years or more financial services experience with emphasis on process, compliance, risk or remediation Proven experience in operations, compliance, legal or governance roles. Strong understanding of remediation processes, governance frameworks and regulatory environments. Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
