POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Starbucks Barista at Big Valley Starbucks, you will create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by delivering exceptional customer service, expertly crafting beverages, and fostering a welcoming store environment. This role requires high energy, attention to detail, and a passion for creating moments of connection with customers, one cup at a time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, food service, or retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a friendly, approachable attitude and deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare quality handcrafted beverages and food items according to Starbucks recipes and customer modifications.
  • Operate POS system to accurately handle cash and card transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including café area, workstations, and restrooms.
  • Follow all operational policies and procedures, including those for food safety, store safety, cash handling, and inventory control.
  • Support store operations by assisting with stocking, restocking, and product rotation.
  • Actively participate in team development by attending scheduled trainings and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Engage with customers to build connections, understand their preferences, and anticipate their needs.
  • Uphold Starbucks’ mission and values through positive interactions with coworkers, leadership, and customers.
  • Other duties as requested.
