What you will be doing: Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products. Ascertain guest satisfaction; in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation. Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management. Balance house bank at the end of the shift. Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. What we are looking for: Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure. Previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience is preferred. Must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges. Ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total. Ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, and communicate with guests. Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions. What’s in it for you?
