Role: Startup and Networking Manager Location: Singapore Salary: 2.8K-3.8K SGD per month Hybrid working pattern with a minimum of four days in the office (Friday working from home half day) About Terrapinn: We’ve been sparking ideas, innovations and relationships that transform business for over 30 years. About the role: This is a dynamic and fast-paced role at the heart of our events, helping to drive start-up participation while creating valuable introductions between our customers. You'll spend much of your time identifying exciting businesses, reaching out to founders and senior decision-makers, and helping them understand the value of being part of our events. As the event approaches, you'll work closely with sponsors and attendees to facilitate meaningful meetings, ensuring everyone has an outstanding experience. This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, enjoys engaging with new people every day, is motivated by achieving goals, and thrives in an environment where every conversation can open a new opportunity. Whether you're speaking to a start-up founder, a sponsor or an attendee, you'll be someone who enjoys making connections and building lasting professional relationships. It's an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who wants to develop commercial skills, gain exposure to global industries and take ownership of meaningful projects from day one. This is a dynamic and important role to help drive start-up participation in our shows and deliver outstanding onsite connections for our sponsors. It’s a great role for someone new to the events industry who wants to understand more about commercial buy and sell dynamics and take ownership of elements of an event quickly. PURPOSE To recruit and deliver significant numbers of start-ups to Terrapinn events. To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors of key events. To provide sponsors with a truly great experience during the event and provide a service element to the networking process. THE ROLE IN BRIEF Depending on the stage of the cycle, your activity focus will be different. From approximately 6 months out from the event, you’ll be working on confirming start-ups, within the agreed targets for the event. This will typically look like confirming 60-80 start-ups per event across that period. From approximately 2 months out from the event, we will layer in networking responsibility, where you will work with clients who have purchased pre-arranged meetings, to secure those meetings for them with our attendees. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Start-Ups: Research and identify genuine start-ups for a sector/topic according to Terrapinn’s criteria. Contact and confirm start-ups’ participation in the event. Sell the benefits of participating. Do all administration. Work closely with confirmed start-ups to ensure they actually attend. Collaborate with, especially, Conference Managers, Business Development Managers and Marketing Managers. Networking: Work closely with the project team to confirm any meeting entitlements based on sponsorship packages and understand the core deliverables Work closely with sponsors who have meeting entitlements to confirm their preferred targets Contact targets and confirm participation in sponsored meetings Manage sponsor meetings onsite and assist with additional meeting arrangements if required CORE COMPETENCIES Puts First Things First.
