ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a dynamic State Commercial Manager to lead our WA commercial team and partner with cross-functional State teams to drive strategy and deliver commercial results. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting sustainable growth across our Wholesale and Independent networks through a focus on network expansion, performance improvement, and business transformation. Success will be enabled by strong insights and analytics, and underpinned by effective, fit-for-purpose governance.

• Contribute to State Leadership by shaping strategy and identifying transformation opportunities to drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.
• Support the State GM in evaluating commercial risks and opportunities to inform key decisions.
• Foster a high-performance culture and mentor future leaders, promoting collaboration across teams.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across State, Food, Cross-Pillar, and Group teams to align on strategic goals.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with external stakeholders including retailers, suppliers, service providers, and regulators.
• Lead the State’s input into annual planning, budgeting, and long-term forecasting to align with financial and strategic targets.
• Oversee State performance, driving insights and corrective action through partnership with FP&A and Business Insights.
• Drive the IGA Network Growth pipeline—identifying, prioritising, and executing growth and optimisation opportunities.
• Lead business case development and manage contract negotiations for State investments, partnering with Legal, Property, and National teams.
• Champion continuous improvement, compliance, and readiness for transformation initiatives like Project Horizon, ensuring strong governance and operational standards.
