DUTIES: This position will act as the 619 Coordinator for the State and liaison to the Office of Special Education ProgramsEarly Childhood Program. The 619 Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering training and technicalassistance content and resources related to federal indicators on preschool inclusion and early childhood outcomes;utilizing existing resources and initiatives available at the national and state levels; developing training and technicalassistance content for Arkansas personnel in order to support increased early childhood outcomes; developinginclusive educational environments, and/or supporting other preschool special education initiatives, as appropriate;assisting with convening and facilitating stakeholder meetings regarding statewide initiatives or regional trainingevents for preschool inclusion and early childhood outcomes; providing data analysis and support; and providingtraining and technical assistance within the structures of state and local agency systems of personnel development,at statewide and regional conferences and at designated training events. This position will be part of the Office ofSpecial Educations Early Childhood Special Education team and will work under the Administrator of Early ChildhoodSpecial Education B-5. The team member will also work with the Dispute Resolution section to help resolve concernsbetween parents and local education agencies and investigate state complaints.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A current Arkansas educators license; or hold an expired standard Arkansas educators license; or a standard out-of-state license and is eligible for a one-year provisional license and a standard license in Arkansas is preferred;masters degree in special education or a related field with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education.SPECIAL APPLICATION INFORMATION: Only a completed application with work history will be accepted.
