Description

A newly created senior leadership role with real influence across people, operations and performance.

We're partnering with a leading automotive services business to appoint a QLD State Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership across two established divisions.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. You'll be out in the business, building relationships, developing leaders, understanding what's really happening on the ground and driving meaningful improvement.

Why this role?

  • $160K package + $20K bonus
  • Lead two experienced Operations Managers
  • Ownership of the operational/workshop P&L
  • Influence across a sizeable Queensland operation
  • Strong, relationship-driven culture
  • Brisbane-based with regional travel approximately quarterly
  • Genuine opportunity to shape how the operation performs

What will you be doing?

Your first priority will be people - supporting and mentoring the two Operations Managers, strengthening leadership capability and making sure teams feel supported, connected and valued.

From there, you'll build a deep understanding of both operations before identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and performance.

You'll also:

  • Own operational P&L performance and agreed KPIs
  • Coach and develop operational leaders
  • Drive accountability and engagement
  • Identify and implement practical improvements
  • Work closely with Sales and key dealership stakeholders
  • Get out into workshops and across the operation
  • Become a trusted operational partner to the QLD State Manager

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced operations leader and people manager who brings commercial nous, sound judgement and plenty of initiative.

You'll ideally have:

  • Senior operational leadership experience
  • Strong people leadership and coaching capability
  • Experience managing P&L, budgets and KPIs
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style
  • Strong commercial and problem-solving skills
  • The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
