About the Role

Responsible for ensuring branches have sufficient support, resources and guidance to achieve operational needs and Supagas objectives while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

You will be implementing and managing HSEQ obligations, initiatives and strategies at all Supagas Branches, Dealers and Agents, Support and maintain the fleet and ensure we meet WH&S and all transport codes across NSW.


Responsibilities

  • Implementing effective and efficient management of the general operations of all branch staff, skills and service, working closely with Branch Managers
  • Travel to support the State and Branch Mangers when needed across NSW
  • Ensure a safe workplace for all staff and customers in accordance with the Quality and Safety Management Systems 
  • Develop operational budgets by branch, and work with State/Branch Managers to ensure they are achieved
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics and yard operations.
  • Ensure delivery costs are within budgets, and work with branch management to achieve this
  • Review and provide opportunities to improve processes for schedulers, logistics team, yard staff and drivers. Streamlining processes, eliminating waste and improving productivity.
  • Ensure fleet management and maintenance occurs in line with policies and practices. 
  • Ensure Induction and Safety training of all new operational employees and other workplace participants occurs in line with the standard Supagas Induction and Safety training
  • Ensure key delivery metrics such as DIFOT, LOA and utilisation (15kgs on truck) are achieved.

  • Commercial capability, which involves understanding the commercial drivers of the business and how value is created within the business. 
  • Must have the drive to achieve and the ability to persuade and influence others 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • The ability to establish productive, professional relationships at all levels of the business, including liaising with many departments and specialties to achieve positional objectives 
  • Calm under pressure, ability to apply reason and see all sides of a situation  
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • An eye for efficiencies and continuous improvement 

Qualifications/Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Management 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Preferred knowledge and understanding of the Supagas business 
  • Preferred knowledge and understanding of the Supagas Safety Case and Safety Management System 
  • Proven experience mentoring and leading teams across a multi-site network
