Description
  • Unique role combining operational and strategy in WH&S
  • Spearhead a continuous improvement culture
  • Iconic Australian and NZ manufacturer
Stratco is an Australian-owned innovator, manufacturer, and marketer of quality building and renovation solutions. With sophisticated manufacturing facilities, retail stores, and professional trade representation throughout Australia and New Zealand, Stratco has supplied a comprehensive range of products to the building and construction industries, and home improvement and DIY markets for over 75 years.
An exciting opportunity presents for a transformational safety leader to join our QLD Leadership team. Reporting to the QLD State Executive, your remit will lead WHS activity for multiple site locations in Queensland, encompassing manufacturing operations and retail stores. Going beyond compliance, tactically you will provide support to the integration of safety into operational decision-making, identifying risks, eliminating hazards, and fostering a culture of shared responsibility at all levels of Stratco QLD. This will include establishing and refining leading safety metrics, manage risk assessments, prepare safety reports, audits, and if required, incident investigations to drive continuous improvement. Working closely with multiple stakeholders across our manufacturing and retail environments, you remit will integrate safety into operational strategies for enhanced efficiency and performance.
Accordingly, we require a proactive safety leader with a hands-on approach, who can continue to embed safety into our culture and processes, creating a dynamic and evolving state safety program that drives ongoing improvements across multiple facilities. To succeed, you’ll need to balance strategy with hands-on execution, influencing at all levels to create a safety-first mindset that goes beyond regulations. A background in manufacturing or engineering is highly desirable, and relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.
If you’re looking to play an instrumental role in the future of safety with an Australian icon, we’d like to hear from you.
