Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

Are you a strong people leader who thrives on coaching teams and driving sales growth? We’re looking for a State Sales Manager to lead our Acratex sales operations across South Australia.
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a high-performing team and play a key part in strengthening our market share, while unlocking growth in underperforming categories such as roofing. You’ll partner with internal teams including Trade Sales, Housing, Dulux Trade Centres, Inspirations Paint Stores and strategic resellers, ensuring alignment to the national sales strategy while tailoring success for your state.
You’ll bring proven leadership skills, a passion for developing people, and the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders. While previous state management experience is an advantage, what matters most is your ability to lead, coach, and continuously improve sales capability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach your state sales team to build capability, improve sales execution, and deliver financial targets.
  • Use data insights and tools such as C4C, Power BI and SharePoint to drive decision-making, customer growth and category expansion.
  • Build and manage a strong project pipeline across new construction, commercial repaint and roofing through specification and top-down influence.
  • Execute national sales call plans, pricing strategies, and key account objectives with precision.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D and internal partners to deliver product launches, service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee state P&L performance, forecasting and compliance, while maintaining strong customer and industry relationships.
