ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable, skilled and experienced General Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a static, site-based role. This is a permanent position based at the same location each day, with no requirement to travel between sites.
You will be the dedicated on-site engineer responsible for all aspects of general maintenance, from reactive repairs to scheduled upkeep, ensuring a safe, functional and well-presented environment for site occupants and visitors. You’ll be the face of our maintenance team, trusted to handle a wide range of day-to-day issues.
This role is suited to someone who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and is seeking progression. After a successful 6-month period, the right candidate will be considered for promotion into a managerial role overseeing on-site facilities and maintenance operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily general maintenance, fault-finding and minor repair tasks (fabric, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Respond promptly to reactive tasks logged via helpdesk or site reporting.
  • Carry out basic PPM (planned preventive maintenance) in line with schedules.
  • Escalate specialist tasks or order parts/materials when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication to site stakeholders.
  • Keep maintenance logs, records and reports as required.
  • Take ownership of on-site maintenance presentation and performance.
