Description

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full Time Stationary Engineer. This vacancy exists in the Facility Operations Department and is under the direction of the Chief Engineer II. A Training and Development (T&D) assignment may be considered.
The Department of State Hospitals provides support services to facilities operated within the Department. A required function of this position is to consistently provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Additional requirements include ability to communicate both verbally and in writing good interpersonal skills, dependable, able to follow directions and complete assigned tasks, ability to work well with others and promote and maintain positive and effective work relationships.
Applicants must possess knowledge of principles, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the engineering trade; current knowledge or relevant CalOSHA safety orders and California Building Standards Codes.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Boilers and auxiliary boiler room equipment; heating, lighting, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, building electric and pneumatic controls, water treatment and other mechanical or electrical equipment; the methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance and repair of such equipment.
