WHO WE ARE

The Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC), established in 2011, is a physician-led quality improvement collaborative comprised of a consortium of urology practices throughout the state of Michigan and the United States. The collaborative is a community that partners to improve urology patients? lives by inspiring high quality care through data-driven best practices, education, and innovation MUSIC is funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and is coordinated at Michigan Medicine in the Department of Urology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to this position.
  • 1 - 3 years of professional experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, or equivalent
  • Prior experience in the medical research field is preferred
  • Skills in using statistical analysis software; for example: SAS, R, STATA, or Python
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
Responsibilities

The Urology Statistician Team is currently looking for a skilled Statistician for the MUSIC collaborative. Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • In conjunction with collaborators, determine and carry out an iterative process that defines clinical or quality questions, reviews methods, and presents results.
  • Write, edit, and document programs to clean, manage, validate, merge, and analyze data.
  • Develop and deliver written, graphical, and/or verbal presentations of the data.
  • Contribute to medical manuscripts in collaboration as a co-author by providing analytic plans, statistical analyses, results, tables and figures.
  • Support the collaborative team with quality improvement including patient, physician, and practice reports and presentations including design, implementation, and dissemination of materials.
