This is a fully remote, project-based opportunity for an experienced statutory accountant to contribute to high-quality financial reporting for a leading insurance client. The role involves preparing statutory financial statements, supporting GAAP reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position offers exposure to specialized statutory accounting practices within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry and provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects until March 2026. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and timely execution are essential for success. \n Accountabilities: Assist in preparing the annual statutory financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards. Support GAAP reporting requirements and related financial disclosures. Prepare assigned financial statements, footnotes, and journal entries accurately and on schedule. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles. Maintain organized documentation and records for audit and review purposes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant statutory accounting experience, preferably within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. Experience with Sovos Wings system is preferred. Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and GAAP reporting standards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
