How you will contribute You will: Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the accounting team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial processes and procedures; Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with local accounting standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance; Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to maintain accurate financial records; Stay abreast of changes in accounting and tax regulations in Kazakhstan and ensure necessary updates and adaptations to internal policies and procedures; Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth and successful audits, providing required financial information and resolving any identified issues or discrepancies; Reconciles sub-ledgers to general ledger and performs other related account reconciliations; evaluates accounts for legitimacy and balance substantiation. Defines new general ledger accounts and ensures proper maintenance of the organization's chart of accounts. Develop and maintain effective internal controls, including segregation of duties, to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or misappropriation; Identifies potential compliance issues and recommends solutions to upper management. Manage relationships with external auditors, and consultants, ensuring effective communication, cooperation, and compliance; Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high level of performance and engagement; Continuously evaluate and improve financial and accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. More about this role What you need to know about this position: What extra ingredients you will bring: At least 3 years of work experience in accounting or audit Knowledge of tax legislation and International Accounting Standards Deep knowledge of statutory accounting and tax regulations IFRS reporting experience Ability to work with big data, being attentive to details and figures Strong analytical skills Education / Certifications: Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technical or Mathematics Job specific requirements: Professional qualification and accreditations (ACCA, CPA, CFA, ADIT, ACA or DipIFR) preferred Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, SAP, Bank-Client) English (Intermediate) Relocation Support Available?
