Entity: Finance Job Family Group: Finance Group Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statutory Reporting Manager - Tax Compliance to lead and handle all aspects of tax compliance and statutory financial reporting for BP Business Service Centre Asia Sdn Bhd. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial disclosures, adherence to local and international tax regulations, and maintaining robust internal controls. Job Responsibilities Coordinate and handle the end-to-end process of statutory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and BP's accounting policy. Lead the preparation and submission of all tax returns, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and other statutory levies, ensuring accuracy and timely filing. Develop, implement, and monitor robust business process controls and internal controls to mitigate tax and financial reporting risks. Collaborate optimally with internal partners across finance, legal, and operations, as well as external tax advisors and auditors, to ensure nformation flow and compliance. Apply strong Commercial Acumen to analyze tax implications of business decisions and provide strategic recommendations to optimize tax positions while remaining compliant. Drive improvement in tax and statutory reporting processes through Digital Fluency, improving technology and automation. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Financial Reporting, providing analysis and insights to senior management. Effectively engage in Decision Making processes related to tax strategy and financial reporting matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.. Implement and maintain strong Internal control and compliance frameworks specific to tax and statutory reporting. Proactively identify and assess tax-related Risk Management issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. Contribute to Strategic Planning initiatives by providing expert tax and financial reporting insights, supporting business growth and operational efficiency! Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree or experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of dynamic experience in tax compliance and statutory financial reporting, preferably within a corporation or audit firm. In-depth knowledge of local and accounting policies and tax regulations relevant to Malaysia and the APAC region. Proven experience in implementing and handling robust business process controls and controls. Strong understanding of Financial Reporting principles and practices. Excellent commercial skill with the ability to understand business drivers and their tax implications. Proficiency in demonstrating digital tools and technologies and tax reporting (Digital Proficiency). Experience in Risk Management pertaining to tax and financial reporting.
