Job Summary:   Machinist 1 is responsible for machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and ensuring parts meet all required specifications and tolerances. This position supports operators and works closely with quality personnel.    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   * Required operations:  * * Surface Grind-Achieve and maintain tolerances less than .0005 independently (Stand Alone)  * STC/Mill (Stand Alone)  * Surface Grind with setup achieve critical dimensions with supervisor assistance along with Setup of CNC Slice and Core Drill operations in the Disc Cell OR Setup of DCM and CNC Slice operations in the REC Cell. * Desired operations (Minimum of 2 additional of the following):  * * Achieve and maintain tolerances less than .0005 independently for MWS/SPLAP, STC, Surface Grind, or Cylindrical Grind (tolerances greater than .0005 independently)  * Monitor and improve process efficiencies.  * Assist with root cause analysis and defect reduction. * Train and mentor Operators 1 and 2.  * Assistance for setup with G Code changes.  * Ensure all processes meet quality and safety standards.  * Assist with machine troubleshooting and minor maintenance.  * Maintain autonomous maintenance schedule.  * Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.   Qualifications:   * High school diploma or equivalent.  * Minimum of 1 year machining experience.  * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.  * Proficiency with precision measuring tools.  * Ability to read and interpret blueprints.  * CNC operation experience preferred.    Successful Essential Behaviors:   * Action-oriented and independent with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work at a quick pace.  * Demonstrates creativity in problem-solving and making innovative connections.  * Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and regulations.  * Collaborative team player who supports and assists colleagues as needed.  * Upholds organizational values and demonstrates integrity in all aspects of work.  * Committed to continuous improvement and actively seeks opportunities to enhance skills.  * Possesses a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.    Work Environment and Physical Demands:   * Works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise.  * Requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.  * Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed work and operation of machinery.  * Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations.       Weekend Shift - Friday through Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 36 hours
