Start Date: January 2026 Rate: $19.00 per hour Location: Hartranft Community Center Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM Position Type: Grant-funded, two-year term Ready to spark curiosity and creativity after school? Wonderspring is looking for a dynamic STEAM Educator to join our aftercare program beginning January 2026! You’ll bring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to life through fun, hands-on projects for students in grades K–5, while also designing engaging activities for middle and high school groups (grades 6–8 and 9–12). Working closely with the Site Director and Youth Development Specialists, you’ll help create an environment where every student can explore new ideas, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence through discovery and collaboration. Design and lead inquiry-based STEAM activities that promote creativity, exploration, and academic enrichment. Collaborate with Youth Development Specialists to integrate STEAM learning into daily aftercare and seasonal programming. Develop age-appropriate lessons for students in grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12 that inspire curiosity and connect to real-world concepts. Encourage teamwork, leadership, and social-emotional growth through engaging projects and group challenges. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that reflects Wonderspring’s mission to inspire growth and learning in every child. Your Special Skills & Qualities Associate’s degree in education or a related STEAM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics) Experience developing and facilitating engaging, hands-on STEAM activities for children in an educational or after-school setting preferred. Strong understanding of youth development and hands-on learning strategies. Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for making learning fun! Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
