Job Details Job Location: San Francisco, CA 94132 Position Type: Seasonal Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00 Hourly Dates: June 8 – August 21, 2026 Training Week: June 8–12 Prep Period: May 11 – June 5 (up to 10 hrs/week) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Pay Rate: $28–$30/hour Position Overview: The STEAM Specialist will lead hands-on, project-based learning in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Ideal candidates have experience in immersive science education and topics like LEGO engineering, outdoor/environmental exploration, or maker-style activities. Key Responsibilities: Create and deliver engaging STEAM projects based on weekly camp themes Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork Guide campers through design challenges, experiments, and outdoor investigations Maintain safety and structure during hands-on activities Collaborate with other staff to integrate STEAM into camp-wide programming Qualifications Qualifications: Experience teaching STEAM to youth in formal or informal settings Background in areas such as engineering, environmental education, or maker spaces Ability to develop curriculum and manage materials effectively
