QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in construction or welding is an asset
• 2+ years of experience in a steel or construction-related role (required)
• Basic knowledge of steel installation, tools, and equipment used in the construction industry
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
• Ability to work independently and take direction from supervisors
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Criminal Record Check and background screening

As a Steel Crewman, you’ll support the setup and installation of steel components including beams, cladding, columns, and doors. You’ll follow blueprints and direction from your crew leads, contributing to the smooth and efficient completion of each project. Key responsibilities include:

• Steel Installation: Install structural steel components, fasten or weld parts, and prepare materials.
• Tool & Equipment Use: Operate drills, hoists, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Safety & Site Support: Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free job site.
• Team Contribution: Assist with job site logistics and tasks as needed to support the crew and project flow.
