MKS Engineering, a dynamic fabrication and installation construction company based in Dandenong South, is actively seeking a skilled fabricator to join our expanding team. With a primary focus on handrails, structural steel, staircases, balustrades, window shrouds, and other steelworks, you’ll contribute to diverse projects within our workshop and on-site throughout Melbourne.
Position Overview:
MKS Engineering is seeking a versatile fabricator. The ideal candidate should excel in working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium, particularly related to handrails, structural steel, staircases, balustrades, window shrouds, and similar steelworks. Proficiency in interpreting and executing tasks based on shop drawings within specified timelines is essential. Immediate availability is preferred for an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage tasks as a workshop fabricator and on-site installer, focusing on handrails, structural steel, staircases, balustrades, window shrouds, and similar projects.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and work with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit accountability, initiative, and unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Collaborate effectively within the team, promoting teamwork and open communication.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium fabrication
• Competency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Adept at reading and comprehending shop and construction drawings.
• Must have a personal welding mask and reliable transportation.
• Trade certificate and fabrication qualification required.
• Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
• White card (Essential)
• EWP, Dogman/Rigger ticket considered advantageous.
• Applicants must have an eligible visa to work in Australia.
• Minimum of 4 years’ steel fabrication experience
• Working together as a team
