Fortel are sourcing experienced steel fixers to work with one of its premier clients. You will be an integral part of the heavy civils team. . A long term project, which sees a major upturn in delivery intensity and a great opportunity for individuals to progress their careers and shape our sustainable transport infrastructure.

Experience:

• steel works: 2 years (required

· Making measurements and preparing the site for steel works
· Designing and installing steel structures and mesh.
· Using hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh.
· Fitting spacers and supports
· Joining steel reinforcement bars, footings and griders by welding or with clips or wires.
· Select and also evaluate materials for potential defects
· Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications set by Architects
· Liaising with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen
· Following all standards projects
