The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. We are seeking candidates for the following roles to join our Maragle Substations team. Positions are open to local applicants, as well as FIFO/DIDO candidates on a 19/9 roster. 6 x Concreters Grouting Concrete finishing Ability to carry out repair and defect work Pump operation experience – desirable 6 x Steel Fixers Must be able to read and interpret plans Qualifications And Experience Required: Current Construction Whitecard Drivers License Trade qualified – desirable Experience working on construction-based projects Excellent communication and team leadership abilities Sound understanding of WHS practices and risk management Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities
Concreters will be responsible for grouting, concrete finishing, and carrying out repair and defect work, with pump operation being desirable. Steel Fixers must be capable of reading and interpreting construction plans.
