Overview:
Serves as the primary career advisor to STEM undergraduates on topics related to career development, including major/career exploration, job/internship search strategies, job offer evaluation/negotiation and graduate school applications. Partners with faculty, staff and student orgs to develop and evaluate programs to serve these needs, including individual and group programming. Serves as a key connector between STEM students and faculty and the Career Exploration’s Employer Relations team, providing insight into industry trends, student interest and connecting employers and alumni to STEM students. Reports to the Director of Career Advising and Student Engagement, and will be housed in the Olin-Rice Science Center. Works as part of the Career Exploration career advising team to provide exceptional career development support to the Macalester community.

• Completes other responsibilities as assigned. Participates as an active member of the team. Participates in department and college activities and supports implementation of shared goals and initiatives. Provides backup support to other members of the team
