What is needed for this job as our STEM Enrichment Lead Instructor: * 21+ preferred * Degree (or credits towards a degree) in a related STEM field * 2+ years experience working with children * Current or prior experience in education, recreation, child psychology or related fields The responsibilities we will trust you with as our STEM Enrichment Lead Instructor: * Implementing lesson plans provided by the director with an enthusiastic approach and energy in order to spark a child's learning through a variety of unique mediums, including robotics, technical reading, and the extraordinary world of Minecraft * Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes that accomplish the YMCA mission and goals * Ensures classes are executed to meet the needs of all ages, levels and abilities of children and adjust plans as needed to accommodate every member of the class * Be able to travel to different sites and help transport supplies/equipment * Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures; provide care in an emergency, document all incidents and accidents and report to your supervisor * Attend training, organizational and staff meetings as requested by your supervisor What you can expect: * Support from an amazing team which includes training you on expectations * Opportunities to learn and grow * Being a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community stronger * Great members to work with every day!
