ABOUT US

We are an innovative and dynamic company and our goal is to teach engineering STEM concepts in after School clubs and holiday camps using Lego. Young Engineers is a leading provider of children’s enrichment activities and has an award winning curriculum, endorsed by Prince William and Havard School of Business.

Duties
- Deliver engaging and interactive engineering sessions from pre designed instruction booklets using Lego style blocks.
- Support lead instructors, until trained to lead a class.
- Participate in shadowing/ training.
- After school hours (15:00-16:00 or 16:30-17:30) Mon-Fri.
- School holiday hours available (9-4pm)
- Give feedback to pupils/ parents on their participation.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies
Experience
- Enhanced DBS essential
- Car needed
- Previous experience as an instructor or teacher preferred
- No expertise on engineering/ Lego(R) experience needed, training is provided
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students
As a STEM Lego(R) Instructor, you will be enthusiastic, have a personality that children can relate to and be responsible for delivering engaging instructional sessions to students from a set curriculum. You will give feedback to students, create a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, passion for working with children and this would suit somebody with previous teaching experience or recent graduate/ volunteer. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a classroom are essential.
