Schedule Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with rotating Saturdays General Summary Performs a variety of functions relating to the cleaning and maintenance of endoscopy equipment. Supports and maintains recommended and departmental standards/practices for processing, decontamination, disinfection, and inspection of all flexible endoscopes and related GI equipment. Learns the anatomy and mechanical operation of the various scopes used in the department. Troubleshoots and performs preventative functionality inspections on endoscopy scopes after each HLD cycle. Orders supplies for the equipment cleaning area as directed. Serve on-call as required and rotates shifts to meet the staffing needs of the department. Responsibilities
Perform cleaning, decontamination, and maintenance of flexible endoscopes and related GI equipment. Conduct functionality inspections and troubleshoot equipment after high-level disinfection cycles.
