Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA. Positions available are Full-time are will work 8-hour Variable shifts in this role. Schedule can be discussed during the interview.
Under supervision the Central Tech II processes, sterilizes equipment and instrumentation. The Tech II issues and receives supplies and equipment according to established procedures and maintains an accurate inventory to reflect a real-time status. The Tech II is responsible for receiving and responding to all calls for product, equipment and supplies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Must have successfully completed a recognized Central Service Technician course and keep Continuing Education Units (CEU) updated and on file.
  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire or
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
  • 2 years of experience in Central Service.
  • Experience in general office practices and procedures, purchasing practices, business ethics and prudent buyer concepts.
