JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgical services by ensuring the proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. This role is vital in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety in both acute hospital and ambulatory surgical settings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Prior experience in trauma-level hospitals (Level I or II) and teaching/community hospitals preferred
• Familiarity with charting systems and preference card management

  Pay: $800.00 - $900.00 per week

Experience:

• Sterile processing tech: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CRCST (Required)

Work Location: On the roa

• Prepare and organize instrument trays based on preference cards
• Label and wrap items appropriately for sterilization
• Assemble specialty sets for multiple surgical disciplines: Ortho, Neuro, OB/GYN, ENT, Robotics, Transplant, Urology, Vascular, etc.
• Decontaminate, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
• Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves, Sterrad, and Steris systems
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and manual cleaning
• Use of ultrasonic cleaners and automated washers/disinfectors
