OVERVIEW

Ontario Surgery Center provides ophthalmic care to our community. We are looking for a Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position is essential for patient safety and infection control within medical facilities. The technician will work closely with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all sterile supplies are available and ready for use.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems to track supplies efficiently.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to surgical procedures and anatomy.
  • Ability to apply aseptic techniques consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should possess a commitment to quality patient care and be able to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
