Job Description Griffith Health Clinics provide high-quality primary healthcare services while supporting the education and training of the next generation of health professionals. Our multi-disciplinary clinics, offers a dynamic learning environment where evidence-based practice and inter-professional collaboration are at the core of our operations. As a Sterilisation Technician, key responsibilities for this role will include: Prepare and sterilise Reusable Medical Devices (RMDs) in strict accordance with Australian Standards, ensuring the highest level of safety and hygiene. Ensure the efficient operation of sterilisation and dispensary to provide seamless support to the Learning & Teaching and Suites Teams. Provide administrative support to the Team Leader and assist the broader dental clinic team, including students, in maintaining smooth operations. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, which includes sterilising and maintaining dental equipment. About you To be successful in this role, you will hold: An Australian Dental Assistant qualification or recognised equivalent. Certificate III in Sterilisation Services is highly desirable. Current CPR/First Aid Certification from a recognised provider. Current Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain). In addition to the above, you will demonstrate: Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work under supervision and contribute to efficient clinic operations. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. A commitment to patient care and student learning. What we can offer This is a full-time, fixed term position until October 2026 and based at Griffith University’s Gold Coast location, with a term employment arrangement of 39 working weeks per year. Please note, the role requires you to work during specific periods throughout the year, aligned primarily with the University’s teaching calendar. You will be notified of the designated work periods each year. The successful candidate will be required to work across various shifts and departments within the Dental Clinic to meet operational needs. Shift times may include 7:30am to 3:30pm and 11:30am to 7:30pm. Salary range The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 4 range $73,623 - $77,680 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,139 - $90,886 per annum. Additional Information Why Griffith?
